November 29 Week of November 24Attended SWAT Appreciation Lunch at Bek's. Started compiling all the accomplishments of this semester. Week of November 16I worked on typing up policies and procedures. Also, worked on new computers that have Windows 7. November 11 Week of November 9This week I emailed our Open House Flier to Debbie Schick to get it out in Today's Rumors. I typed up the minutes from our meeting on Monday and emailed them to everyone. I typed up Policies and Procedures for Interview email process, and my opinion of the Directors job/duty. Week of November 2This week I made the open house flier, sent it to Dr. Davis to get printed and distributed. Wrote out the calendar on the dry erase board. Started working on creating the policies and procedures for the Interview emailing process. October 30 Week of October 26This week I was to round up all the SWAT documents and put them in one place. I got on every machine and put them on our spaces live account. I also tried to put them all in our shared folder but it said Access Denied. So I then called UIT and they set up an H drive for us (had to restart the computer and try accessing it) but it said Access Denied, also. So then they just put in a work order to figure out our access issues. I talked to AJ about Windows 7 and he said he didn't think they had copies yet, but Dr. D asked them and they do and we are getting it for our Vista machines. The Web Suite CS4 issue is not going to be discussed with UIT at this time, if you need to use a program we don't have, go to Murph's computer lab or 205. We will eventually ask them, but right now we're asking too much. October 26 Week of October 19Worked on computers. They are so slow that it takes me forever just to get one thing done. Especially Dr. Davis' old machine. I have also had Dr. Davis email UIT requesting we get Windows 7 on our machines if possible. October 16 Week of October 12 This week I have been trying to get the interviews put together. I have checked the SWAT email everyday and informed everyone about times/issues. I interviewed Michael Brown with Alicia on Wednesday and the interview went pretty well! I have been trying to work on Dr. D's old machine (the one closest to the door - not the laptop) but it is really slow and I feel like it is going to take forever. Dr. D and I sat here for a good 20 mins while it started up - or tried to. October 02 Week of September 28 Wednesday 11-12pm I worked ran Clean disk on all the computers except for the one that I was downloading 2007 Office Service Pack 1 on. The computers that were finished with Clean disk got to start a defrag of the drives. I emailed Debbie Schick and got our advertisement in Today's Rumors. Friday 11-12pm Worked with Dr. D to make a big flier for advertisement of SWAT/Interviews. Then I made smaller fliers to be put up around campus about the Interviews. September 28 Friday 9/25 11-12pm 1-2pmI tried to get the wireless to work on our laptop that's hooked up to the printer and then I got another wireless card and installed it on the computer. I then started cleaning that computer off of things we didn't need. The laptop now has wireless internet access!!
I also downloaded the Web Developer tool for Firefox on every computer. Wednesday 23 11-12PMToday I worked on making a flyer for the Service Learning fair. Also I tried to print out more business cards and most of the time I was fighting with the printer so it wouldn't eat them. September 23 Fri 9/18 11am-12pm; 1-2pmI worked on putting together the binders - Policies and Procedures, and Agenda and Minutes. I did this for both hours I worked. September 18 Wednesday 9/16 11am-12pmDr. D and I set up the projector and laptop. We had to move things around to get the picture we wanted on the wall. We then talked about moving the middle bookcase and Dr. D has sent in a request for it to be put in storage. I then cleaned everything off of it and moved it to other bookcases just in case our request gets approved. September 11 Friday 9/11 11am-12pm; 1-2pmI met with Dr. D to get some things to do and she gave me one of her MIS requirements document to make pages for and link them to eachother for her incoming students. I also tried to get a hold of the avs guys and i was put on hold for a good 30 mins, until I hung up. I'm going to try again next week. I opened the program and tried to change it myself again but had no luck. September 04 Friday 9/4 11am-12pm, 1-2pmToday during both of my hours, I worked on trying to get the writing off of Terry Martin's video for the Art website. I tried converting it in AVS to other types and see if it would come off and had no such luck. I then tried to edit it and there were no options to be able to do that either. I then met with Dr. D and talked about it and I will have to call one of the AVS reps and ask them how to go about this process next week. September 02 Wednesday 9/2 11am-12pmToday I worked on cleaning the white board that has our names/client/meeting date & time/deadline. Also, I printed out the policies and procedures, again. April 24 Tues 4/21 11-12; 1-3Worked on Duke's Dossier. Made the side piece and went to KAC Mac Lab and printed out the front sheet. Monday 4/20Went to Bek's and had a wonderful meal with the whole group. April 15 Wed 1-3Today I researched some more on the pricing stuff, had to reread the spreadsheet to see what everyone else said. Then, Ms. Duke emailed me her pictures and I added them to the project. I then tried to make the project into a PDF but the computer I was on wouldn't let me. So I upgraded the Adobe Reader, still didn't work. Got on the Vista machine right next to SWAT6 and it didn't work either. So, I finally just sent it to her in the regular program attatchment. April 14 Tues 2/14 11-12, 1-3Today I met with Ms. Duke about her Dossier project. She had me fix a few things and she really liked the first draft/idea of the project. She wants to get a picture of her teaching in on it so she was going to have someone take the picture and email it to me. I then researched pricing, found a lot of what has already been established. We have better prices than the ones I found while researching. I then put my input on the googledocs spreadsheet. Mon 4/13Today I met with Dr. Davis about the agenda. We had our weekly SWAT meeting at 12PM. |
