April 23 4/23Today I worked on the Novelletum webiste by adding the stories to the selected areas. It took me a long time to figure out the html coding and how to link them correctly. We also sent Dr. Pierson an email! I worked from 9-12 April 16 3/16Today I spent the morning trying to figure out the FTP account on the siteground.com website for novelletum. Dr. Pierson sent Stacie and I an email saying that she would like to add the google anaylitics option on all of the pages, but without having the proper access information into the FTP files we cannot make the changes. I emailed her to see if there are any other passwords and logins that she knows of to see if we can access to those files! I worked from 9:30-11:00. 3/14I forgot to log on Tuesday...sorry! On Tuesday I was able to find Aimee and give her my professor evaluation form. We also talked about the form and some of the changes she might need to make in the future. She is still worried about recieving the application fee from parents when they fill it out online so she is in the process of asking if they can waive the fee for students who apply online for the program. Stacie and I also emailed Dr. Pierson as a follow up to get the information we need to change the novelletum website. We should be hearing back from her soon! I worked from 9:30-11. April 07 3/7 (3 Hours)Today I continued to do more research on the pricing of outsourcing our web services. I also met with Katricia Pierson, along with Stacie, to go over the updating and changes to the novelletum website (www.novelletum.com) She will be sending us the documents by the end of the week. After our meeting, I played around with their web host and tried to get familiar with the site. March 31 Log 3.31Today I emailed Deb Young back to explain to her about what UIT changes and what SWAT can change. I also continued to research different companies pricing scales to help us determine the best price for going outside the school. I also tried to make some more changes on the FA page but was not allowed permission to save. I also have not heard back from Aimee. I worked from 9:05 to 11:15 March 26 3/26Today I worked on the form Shane sent me and requested to add a few more things. I also tried to get ahold of Aimee to see if there is anything else she would like to have added. I also tried to work on the pages but Viper was down and I was unable to save any of my work. I worked from 9:15-10:30. March 24 3.24Today I did research for the cost of outsourcing our services to the public. I called a couple companies as well as found out some prices over the internet. I also added the biography for Deb Young to the communication divisions faculty page. I worked from 9:05 till 10:45. March 12 3/12Today I continued to work on the form that will be put on the FA webpage, I emailed it to IT to see if it could be done, I emailed Aimee to see if she had finished her part of updating the wording on both sites, and did the SWAT bulletin boards! March 10 Log March 10Today I typed up the meeting minutes from Monday and worked on the form that will be palced on the Freshman Advantage page so the application can be submitted electronically! March 03 Log 3/3 Today I worked from 9:15-11:00. I continued to work on the communications division required courses page, sat in on two interviews, and cleaned up the SWAT room :) February 26 2/26 Log Today I worked on the required courses for the Communications Website. I put all of the class lists in a table to make it easier to read and sent an email to Aimee explaining to her all of the stuff I would need to make more improvements. I worked from 9:15-11am February 24 2/24 Log Today I worked on the Freshman Advantage Web page and the faculty bio pages for the communications division. I also emailed Tom Frankman back telling him that I would complete the suggestions I gave him last week. I worked from 9:30-11! February 17 February 17, 2009Today I worked on the thank you card for Terry Martin, went over to the art building to see if Aimee Sapp was available to meet, and worked on my biography page. I will be meeting with Aimee at 12:40 today to go over the communication division site. February 12 2/12I contacted Aimee Sapp and we will now be meeting Tuesday afternoon. I also looked over Tom Frankmans website and sent him an email of suggestions for his webpage. I worked from 9:20-10am 2/10I aplogize, I forgot to log my hours for Tuesday. On Tuesday, I looked over the new site so I could get aquainted with it somewhat. I also typed the minutes up and prepared for the faculty meeting that Carla and I attended at noon. I worked from 9:20-11:20 and then attended the faculty meeting from noon-12:30. February 05 Log 2/5Today I tried to get in contact with Aimee again. we still have not found a time to meet. I also printed off all the communications website text to have ready for our meeting. I worked from 9-10. On Tuesday, I met with Neil (along with Carla, Scott, and Dr. Davis from 2-2:30) and discussed SWAT being an organization. We learned about the process of getting a budget established and where we can find the rules and regulations. February 03 Log in 2/3 Today I was in contact with Aimee Sapp trying to set up a meeting time. I believe that we will be meeting Thursday during my SWAT hours. She has asked me if we could possibly work on the Freshman Advantage page as well since she is in charge of it and because of my past experience in the program. I will also be working with the radio broadcasting professor, Deb Young to upload a students pod cast. I also made notes of the already existing communications pages, freshman advantage pages, and radio and broadcasting pages to be better prepared for my meeting on Thursday. |
